I worked in general practice/PCN for several years before joining GL@GP. The GL@GP training programme has been the most effective/innovative training I have come across. The 2-hour sessions are effective, and its duration allows me to be focused. I like the fact these sessions are run by experienced clinicians, which include secondary care specialists, as well as using case scenarios at the end of session to supplement the learning. It has allowed me to develop my clinical knowledge and become a confident clinician in decision making in many clinical areas. Most sessions also facilitate small group case discussions, which has been useful for learning and information sharing. I have found all GLGP training sessions are tailored to pharmacist learning needs
We have had a very successful partnership with Greenlight for many years. Not only are some of our pharmacists directly employed through Greenlight, we also have engaged in the GL training programme for staff who are not employed through them. All our pharmacists have benefitted from regular training sessions (with schedules being shared in advance), as well as group support. GL have been very responsive to our needs, setting up a separate junior pharmacist programme within their programme in order to support us when we had quite a few recruits who were new to General Practice and needing more basic level training. Recently, our newly promoted senior pharmacists have also joined the GL Leadership Training programme. I would highly recommend the GL training programmes
Just wanted to thank you very much indeed – on behalf of everyone here - for stepping in over the preceding weeks in October and really lending a hand when we needed it because we had no PCN pharmacist which left our pharmacist team – that significantly reduce the day-to-day GP workload - really depleted. Your fuss-free, “I’m here so I’ll get on with the job” pair of hands really made a difference to our capacity and we are all really appreciative of your valued contribution

As an Associate PBP (not employed) in the Greenlight team, I appreciate the prompt help from my GL colleagues. I also like the fact that the topics covered in the training meetings include clinical and non-clinical topics e.g. leadership knowledge and skills
Being a co-owner in Greenlight means that we have shared values including a focus on the communities that we serve. The team, coming from a diverse pharmacy background, is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, approachable and supportive. There’s a real sense of belonging, friendship and camaraderie that makes learning and growing together easy and comfortable
